Update on Life

On a day to day basis, I would say my life is boring. My days consist of waking up, driving to work, working for 8 hours, driving to my exercise class, driving home, eating, showering, then going to bed. Repeat.

But... It's the unusual activities and extraordinary events that make my life exciting. Here's the update:

This December I had the opportunity to dance in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. Rehearsals for this concert started in September, so it was definitely an anticipated concert. I am so grateful for the spiritual experiences and friendships I gained during this experience. I was also grateful for the opportunity to perform again. I just love performing in front of an audience!

My favorite parts about this experience include: going to lunch or dinner after rehearsals with my new friends, learning "silent football" and "cuuummm-cha", wearing nun costumes, running for your life during specialty one dance not really knowing if we're going to make it on count, playing dead on stage, WINKING at the prophet (yes, I did...It was quite exhilarating), meeting Jane Seymour and Nathan Gunn, and loosing my patience backstage (not one of my finest moments, but definitely memorable).

Me and the girls just before performance.

Group shot with Nathan and Jane! Isn't Jane gorgeous? Aren't my new friends just awesome? Haha.

Next on the update... CHRISTMAS! I just love Christmas. I love spending time with the family. We always reenact the Christmas story with the cousins at my Hardy family Christmas Eve party:

Somehow I'm always the Wiseman each year... Probably because no one volunteers to be the Wiseman.

Mary (aka. Hannah) really happy with all the Wiseman presents I've symbolically brought her.

Christmas Day was a blast as well... Here's my favorite present:

Santa always exceeds expectations. I even got to use my new golf clubs the next week! Utah winters are so unpredictable... I love it when it's warm enough to go golfing in December.

 Emily and I being silly...

Bringing in the New Year always promises some new, exciting adventures. One of my favorite activities thus far was being able to have a girls night with my long-lost girls. Life gets busy and sometimes we can't see each other as often as we like. But we had facials, went out to dinner, went to a movie, and had a nice long chat about life. It was such a great night!

Next on the update... I'm going back to school again! Ok, it's not that exciting, but I'm thinking of going to Pharmacy school. In order to get into the programs I want I have to do some prerequisite classes first. So, I'm taking Chemsitry, Chemistry Lab, Microbiology, and.... Math 1050 (college algebra). In my defense, my AP credit doesn't count anymore and I can't jump hoops to skip prerequisites. So I'm kicking it with all the freshmen! At least they'll have a super senior to look up to, right? I'll be busy working full time and going to school full time, but this will keep me from being bored.

I also went to the Auto Expo last week. It was fun fun. Guess what gem I found:

It's an adult version of my car! When I'm established I'll have to buy one... M3 BMW.

On a more humble note, this past weekend my cute grandfather, Grant Weiler passed away. He was such a great grandpa, and will truly be missed. He was a World War II veteran, accomplished botanist, loving spouse and father, and battled his last days with cancer. It's been an emotional time for my family. I feel very privileged to be his granddaughter and I'm grateful that one day I will see him again.

I love you Grandpa!
