Halloween Time

You'd think that being a college graduate I would have tons of time! But, Phew! I've been super busy these past couple of weeks.

For starters, I would like to officially announce that I am a dancer in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert! I am really excited because I get to dance and celebrate Christ all at once. I've also heard that the prophet sits front and center where we are dancing, so that is super neat! I've been surprised with how many other dancers I know. So far I've connected with past CBT, Nutcracker, and Crimson Line girls, which is really cool because I haven't seen some of these girls for a few years. I've also made new friends, which is amazing because they are awesome people.

Another cool fact is that Jane Seymore is going to be the narrator this year. For those who don't know Jane, she was the Medicine Woman TV show during the 90's and a James Bond girl. I'll give a prize to whoever can guess which James Bond movie. And a double prize if anyone has actually seen the 90's TV show. Haha

I just LOVE this time of year. I love the changing of the colors and the Halloween season. There is so much to do and I can start wearing scarfs (I love scarfs). Thus far, my activities have consisted of:

Thriller! I went with my new Motab friend Lindsey. I just love ODT and their performances. They are an outstanding company and such talented dancers! Odyssey 2 (the kid company) had Brandon from So You Think You Can Dance choreograph a dance in the show. I was pretty excited for that dance, and it did not disappoint!

Corn Maze with the family! I love this yearly tradition, it usually involves our family getting lost for longer than the maze is supposed to take, and having a family discussion about which way to take (always choose the right). We had a blast!

Spa day with my mom and sisters! We went shopping, pedicures, massages, saw Footloose (which is amazing, go see it if you haven't yet), and dinner! It was so relaxing and well needed. Random, look at this boutique we ran across:

Oxymoron anyone? They definitely had cute and modest clothes. I dunno about sexy though.

I also got to see Ballet West's, Dracula:

First, I just love going to a professional ballet. It was amazing! And probably one of the only ballet's I've seen with awesome special effects. Second, my date and I lucked out on free tickets! We were standing in line, waiting to buy the cheap student tickets, when this nice lady gave us her $100 orchestra extra tickets! I felt so lucky.

Also this weekend, I went to the Haunted Forest with some of my ward friends and this awesome young man:

Poor Michael, he's looking a little thin these days! Haha just kidding. Wow though, this haunted house did impress. It was definitely one of the longest haunted houses I've experienced and they had some new scary things I haven't seen before. I was not scared though (Michael says differently) but it did make me jump a few times! I highly recommend the Haunted Forest.

In all, I've had a pretty action-packed week this week. But October/Fall isn't over yet! So far I still have plans to go to two more haunted houses (three maybe... The Asylum in Tooele actually sounds like I could scare me, but it's all the way out in Tooele...), carving my pumpkin, and dressing my ducks for Halloween (ok, sounds weird, but we found the CUTEST costumes for them). Stay tuned!
