Delphi and Corinth

So I'm so bugged. My post didn't work so and it deleted all of today's worth of stuff. So I have to start from scratch. Ugh.

Today was a travel bus day. We went to the Corinth Canal, Old Corinth city, and Delphi.

The bus total drive time was 8 hours. But we had fun, I love the people on this trip. It's like speed friendship (like speed dating). We just talk all the time and ask random questions to get to know each other. I also borrowed The Help from Kyra. It's a pretty good book. I also found out my aura color. Ha ha I'm apparently green. Woo

The canal was cool. First time in my life I was scared of heights.

Old Corinth was cool as well. We saw where Paul wrote to the Corinthians, where he lived, where he was imprisoned, and where he was judged.

There are a lot of stray dogs that wander the streets in these cities. It's really sad. Brother Money had a dog follow him around Corinth. It was cute.

The bathrooms today have been scary. The Old Corinth loo I'm pretty sure had diseases. Even more scary, a couple of us needed to stop for a bathroom break at this random car wash place. The room was clean, but it was a squatter. First and last time I will ever do that in my life.

Next was Delphi which I was way excited about. I got to see the belly button! The museum guy rolled his eyes when I asked to see the belly button. He informed me that it was called the "Navel." I also got pics for Aphrodite and Persephone. Those are my favorite goddesses. I also saw a sweet pillar dedicated to dancers.

The old city of Delphi was cool. Total hike was about two miles. When we made it to the top to see the stadium, I played the Hercules "I will go the distance" song. It was very appropriate because of the hike and because mythological Hercules might have competed there.

We then went to a three course dinner subsidized by BYU to make it less expensive. Thank you BYU!

We then went to the pier to watch the sunset. It was very relaxing. I just vegged by watching the waves for a half an hour. Ha ha

We are doing a quick overnighter. I love our hotel in Delphi. I'm rooming with Kyra. Ha ha when used the nice clean bathroom I caught Kyra standing outside over he balcony ready to jump to the bottom floor of our friends rooms. When you've hiked and climb lots of stairs, you will understand. It was hilarious.

I also bought my third pair of sunglasses. Hopefully these will work out. They're Gucci!

Looks like Utah?
