Next we went to the Kusadasi State Park for a nice, clean beach. The main beach in front of our hotel is kind of gross and dirty. It was very beautiful. You could see 20 feet right through the water. It was soooo clear! You could see the fishes swimming on the bottom. One of the girls got nibbled by one. Let's just say I beat an olympic record swimming out because that is my worst fear (being nibbled by a fish). We only stayed for two hours. I would have like to stay longer but other people had plans for their free time. Oh yeah and I got burned. Surprise.
When we got back I showered and went shopping with some girls. I wanted to get rid of my remaining Lira because it's a smaller exchange rate to change it to the Euro (verses changing a Dollar to the Euro). I've also only spent about 100 dollars so far! That includes all my food and souvenirs. I'm really proud of myself, that's pretty good.
Today my favorite purchase was a belt I got for 5 Lira. My pants have been stretching out because of my money belt and because I think I haven't been eating enough. That's about three dollars, which I'm pretty excited about for a belt.
A couple of things I don't think I mentioned last night:
1. I'm kind of a hotel snob. I've always been blessed to sleep in really nice hotels. The hotel in Istanbul was nice, I would stay there again. Our hotel now though... Doesn't reach the standards. I'm paranoid there are bed bugs and that I'll get a disease from using the bathroom. And our blanket is a shabby linen. Good thing I sleep in all sweats with a hood on and an eye mask to protect myself from the bed bugs. My outfit is pretty funny, I'll try to take a picture of it tonight.
2. Yesterday a Turk said something funny. He asked us where we were from, I said the US. He said he loves the US. Then I said I love Turkey. He replied with, "Oh, we can be lovers then!" haha I said, "Eh, no." He looked disappointed.
Well tomorrow we take a boat to Patmos. Hello Greece! I'm so excited. In the lobby they have Turkish music videos playing. I can't understand any of the songs. The music video playing is of this guy tying this girl up in a chair then kissing her. It's very strange.
Some pictures of the day:

Cute camel. It was 2 Euro to ride it though.
