We left on a private chartered boat to the island of Patmos. It was a gorgeous ride. We had a devotional on the boat and I took my usual Sunday nap! I felt amazing when I woke up. The Mediterranean sea is sooooo blue. It is unreal.
We finally ported in Patmos after a four hour boat ride. I actually now prefer traveling by boat now, it was so enjoyable and relaxing. So much better than a plane, car, bus, and legs.
Since today was Sunday we had the day completely free. First thing on the list was food. Thank goodness for normal food. I had a sausage cheese sandwich and a fruit bowl. I ate it all. First time in a week that I've been full.
Our hotel is amazing. It's made of gorgeous marble because there are no trees in Greece (therefore no wood). I just love it. The shower is tiny it's kind of silly, I'll have to take a picture of it later.
I actually went swimming today (I know, maybe not the best Sunday activity). I have the worst heat rash because my sensitive skin is not used to beach time. So the non-heated pool helped control my skin.
We then went for a walk around the island (it's pretty small) and I took this amazing picture:

You can't really see me, but no matter! You want to see the sunset. Oh my I love this tiny island. It's so chill and there is absolutely nothing to do (except see the prison, more on the history of the prison later).
A quick shout-out to Purchasing!!! For dinner we went to explore the small supermarket. And I found one of these:

It's a croissant filled with chocolate! Just like the Chartfield's kind! Except more delicious and only 1.5 Euro (about 2.15 dollars). Yum yum yum.
Oh yeah mom, you were totally right about lugging luggage up stairs. The elevators in every hotel have been small and slow. I'm hoping for great legs when this trip is over.

Just a yacht sitting in Patmos.
Tomorrow we are going to the prison where John the Beloved was imprisoned. Read Revelation 1:9. It was here where John wrote the book of Revelations. Cool cool.

Elder Smith should have worn your bed bug out fit when he was sleeping in that bug infested bed of his in Dumas Texas!
