First, we slept in (it was well needed). Next, our family went to the market down aways from our hotel. Really quick about our hotel, it is at the most amazing spot! Located right in the middle of the city, a block away from the Duomo. The Duomo is a really famous church. Google it if you don't know.
After shopping we went to the museum of Academa and saw the famous David statue. It's pretty neat, you can see the veins carved into the figure.
Next we stood in line to see the inside of the Duomo. It was cool. But I'm starting to see all the churches as the same now.
Next we got lunch then kind of separated from everyone. I set out to see if I could find a pedicure place. I found one, but it was 28 Euro and the ladies did not speak English. Pretty sure they didn't want to give me a pedicure anyway, she shook her head when I pointed at my feet and wiggled my toes.
Other than this morning I haven't seen anyone. I've been stretching for the past two hours because my lower back hurts super bad. We'll meet at six for dinner. Yum!
After dinner...
We went to this mama/papa restaurant. I had a penne primivaro. It was delicious. We're at the hotel now. I think everyone is burned out. We're going to bed early. I'm excited to go to church tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteWow! I'm so glad you are having such a fun time! A little jealous here, but I'm enjoying my own adventure here in Vermont. I have to say I loved your "I'm on a boat" reference (fyi- there is a clean version on youtube). Love and miss you lots!
