I Could Live Here (Part II)

We got to sleep in today! It felt so nice. Stretching last night also helped my back.

We went to sacrament today in Florence. It was so nice. Everything was in Italian so we couldn't understand anything. Funny story, we couldn't figure out the English hymn number for the Italian hymns. So we tried to sing the first one by sight reading the Italian version, but we felt stupid by the end of the hymn. We hummed the next hymn. Then I got smart and looked up the author for the third hymn and we could sing it in English! Three guys in our group bore their testimonies. Todd, Ryan, and McKay. I was so proud of our boys! The missionaries translate for them so the Italian members could hear. I also sat next to a family from Lindon, Utah! It was so random, they are just on a family vacation. The mother was so excited to speak English.

After church we drove straight to Venice. This city might be my favorite city. But its a tie between Siena and Venice. I could definitely live here, except it does kinda smell bad (because of the sewer system). But it is so beautiful!

Story about traveling today though. So in Florence we had to lug our stuff out of our city hotel and drag our stuff a mile outside of the city to where our bus (by law, they can't come into the city) was parked. It was sweaty, hot, and hard on the cobbly roads. That's why my neck hurts.

Walking to our centrally located hotel in Venice was a similar story. Except it was raining and we had to go up and down bridges. But it was amazing walking across the bridges. And our hotel is beautiful. I'm rooming with Jessica Hoopes. She's the coolest girl ever.

After we got here, we decided to wander around. We saw the two famous bridges, the Rialto and the Sighs. And we saw the main square where the Italian Job was. Lots of James Bonds are filmed here as well. Maybe that's why I like it.

We actually got lost. Ha ha but you can't experience Venice without getting lost. But we weren't worried, we had a good group and got gelato. The scenery is so awesome!

Unique thing about our hotel- we have scented toilet paper. Ha ha.
