Party in the USA

It is so good to be home!!! We had a 35 hour travel day. I was sad to leave Europe, but really happy not to have to sit on a plane for 20 million hours.

On one of the last days our study abroad group compiled a list of things we will not take for granted anymore. I just wanted to highlight most (if not all) of these things:

- Being a US citizen. Love the perks.
- Being literate again. Yay I can read all the signs!
- Being able to find and read medications at the store. Switzerland gave me a nasty cold.
- Having people converse in fluent English with you.
- Water from the fridge. No more buying bottled water or drinking molten water.
- Cheap food.
- Homemade food.
- Tillamook cheese. I love cheese in general, but I did not like any of the cheese abroad. So disappointing.
- Washing machines.
- Temple close by.
- Shoes that aren't ugly. Hello heels, wedges, and cute flats!
- Reliable internet and 3G. I was really excited for my 3G service to be back. Probably so excited it was a little weird.
- Elevators that aren't one inch wide.
- The fact that I don't have to haggle anymore. So grateful to walk into Downeast and purchase a new dress without wondering how much I might pay.
- My clean sheets. Along with my lovely pillows and soft blankets. No more bed-bug worries.
- Bullet (my car). Oh how I've missed driving (never thought I'd say that).
- Free refills and free water at restaurants
- Trash cans.
- Deoderant! American BO has never smelled so nice before.
- Not having to worry about my electronic devices frying. All I have to do is plug them in! No converters or adapters here.
- SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE! Can't wait for my marathon. Kinda bugged that my Tivo skipped the first part of the finale, but I'll just catch it online. No one tell me who is in the final four. And why is it that the judges still get to vote off who they want when its the top ten? I'm so confused!

And last but not least...

Talking to my family and friends. They're just a button away and I can hear their voices! I love them so much!!!
